Boroughs United is produced and managed by young volunteers from Hackney youth charity, The Crib. It brings together young people and their familes from across London's 33 boroughs to campaign to stop gun, knife and hate crimes being experienced by London’s young generation.
Boroughs United is for under 13s and 13-19 year olds and is for everyone to share and enjoy the talents, achievements and positive contributions young people make to our society every day.

The showcase presents 30 acts, each playing a 3 minute routine, performers are singers (solo and groups), dance groups, mcees and performance poetry.
Each performer receives a certificate of participation and a Boroughs United medal. The the top three acts from each category win a Boroughs United trophy .
Boroughs United has been running since 2000 and has played Hackney’s Ocean Music Venue, the Hackney Empire Theatre and Indig02 . Over 2,500 young people have taken part including: Leona Lewis, Diversity and Twist & Pulse
